Born: August 26th 1941 in Omi¹, Croatia.
EDUCATION
Secondary school: Technical School, Department
of Naval Architecture, Split (1960).
Bachelor: Two bachelor degrees - Faculty
of Electrical Engineering and Electronics in Split, Department
of Electrical engineering (1968) and Department of Electronics
(1974) Masters: Faculty of Electrical Engineering
and Electronics in Split, Department of Electronics (1978).
Ph.D.: University of Belgrade, Faculty of
Organization Sciences (1983).
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
1969-1973: Secondary Maritime School in Split.
Teacher of Shipboard electronics.
1975-1979: Jugoplastika Company in Split.
Responsible for Production and Development Department, General
Manager's assistant, and investment consultant.
1975-1981: Regional Institute for Social
Planning in Dalmacija, Split. Senior advisor and acting manager.
1981-1982: Cemento Andino, Venezuela - Automation
and computer expert.
1983-1987: Jugoplastika Company in Split.
Central Planning and Analyses Manager, General Manager's assistant
for organization, economics, information and company development.
1982 -1987: Lecturer at Maritime Faculty
in Split. Graduate courses include: Shipboard electronics,
Use of electrical equipment and devices on board vessels,
Computers, Dynamic modelling of marine processes.
1987- present: Permanently employed at Faculty
of Maritime Studies, University of Split. Current dean of
the Faculty (4th election of this position).
1996 - present: Engaged in mechanical engineering
postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Split. Teaches
System Dynamics course.
ACADEMIC CAREER - TITLES AND APPOINTMENTS
1988 - Appointment to Research fellow and
Assistant Professor in the field of information sciences.
1991 - Promotion to Research Assistant.
1992 - Promotion to Associate Professor of
Information Science.
1996 - Promotion to Research Advisor and
Full Professor.
2001 - Reappointment of the permanent position
of Professor.
