The Department as a scientific unit is composed of teaching staff members holding research, research and teaching, teaching titles as well as associates. Besides teaching through Chairs servicing all studies, the teaching staff members are involved in scientific research work on projects funded by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sport Special attention is paid to maritime information systems, medicine for seafarers, ship’s business and investigation of maritime market. Established by the Decision of the Faculty Board of the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Split in December 2010 the Department is composed of the Chair for Marine Yacht and Marina Technologies and Chair for Maritime Management.
